Gate Pass & Security
An early pickup or exit is issued, confirmed with the guardian, released at the gate and marked back in, with each step done by the person trusted to do it.
What you can do today
Issue a gate pass
For a student, staff member or visitor, with the reason, the time window and a vehicle number if there is one.
Guardian confirmation
Record that the guardian has confirmed the pickup before a student is released.
Release at the gate
The gate looks the pass up by its code and releases the holder.
Return and cancel
Mark the holder back in, or cancel a pass that is no longer needed.
Separate permissions
Issuing, confirming and releasing are different permissions, so no single person can do all three unless you allow it.
Gate reports
Passes by day, type and status for the security record.

Coming next

Gate hardware
RFID cards and scanners at the gate.
Questions schools ask
Can the gate release a student without confirmation?
The guardian’s confirmation is a separate recorded step, and releasing is a separate permission, so the school decides who may do each.
